Crickets
Crickets are insects known for their distinctive chirping sound, which is produced by rubbing their wings together, typically during the warmer months. While outdoor crickets are beneficial by helping decompose plant matter, indoor crickets can be a nuisance. They are attracted to food sources, moisture, and warmth, and are often found in basements, attics, or behind appliances. Although they don’t bite, their constant chirping can be disruptive, especially at night. Crickets can also damage fabrics, paper, and other organic materials. To reduce their presence, it's important to seal entry points, eliminate food and moisture sources, and keep your home well-maintained.
