Mud Daubers
Mud daubers are a type of solitary wasp known for their distinctive nests, which are made of hardened mud and can be found on walls, under eaves, or in other sheltered areas around the home. These wasps are generally non-aggressive and are not likely to sting unless provoked. Mud daubers typically build their nests in a series of small, tube-like compartments, each filled with paralyzed spiders that they use to feed their larvae. While they can be a nuisance due to their nesting habits, mud daubers are beneficial to the ecosystem by helping control spider populations. However, if their nests become too numerous or are located in high-traffic areas, they may need to be removed.
